The Frontiersman 7.9 oz and 9.2 oz Bear Attack Deterrent's, have a dual propellant system which will put up 45% more spray between you and the attacking bear. You can fire from 30 feet away which could be a lifesaver considering a bear can charge at 30 feet per second.

The dual propellant system allows our 7.9 ounce and 9.2 ounce canisters to empty in just five (5) seconds! Each one second blast of Frontiersman contains up to eighty-four (84%) percent more spray than other brands to put up a larger barrier between you and the charging bear.

The Frontiersman has a glow-in-the-dark safety wedge along with a safety tie attachment to prevent accidental discharge. Should you be attacked at night this feature would be very handy.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that Bear Attack Deterrent Sprays must contain at least 1.0% Capsaicin and Related Capsaicinoids (CRC) and no more than 2.0% CRC. CRC does not measure the amount of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) within the formulation. Instead, CRC is the heat bearing and pain producing components of the OC. FRONTIERSMAN contains the maximum strength allowed by the EPA.
